The Most Wonderful Time of the Year???

Well, usually
from August until Valentine's Day,
we celebrate 6 birthdays
and 5 major Holidays.
It is always the favored time of year here in Stewartville.....
but since the new "project" has begun
...it has been

vomit, exaustion and stress.

So instead of going back and doing a blog for each missed birthday and holiday, this blog will combine all events which have taken place in the past few months

First we start off with a song:

Happy Birthday to you...

Happy Birthday to you..

Happy Birthday dear family,

Happy Birthday, to YOU!!!

And many more, your pants are tore,
ya better go home and get some more.
(thank you Grandpa Stewart for the lovely addition
to this traditional song which my lil' ones sing

EVERY SINGLE TIME,
but because it ends with tons of
giggles...we gladly accept this version)
.

Let us also wish you all a belated Happy Halloween!

Our Texas Grandparents have us over every year for a pumpkin carving contest.

But this year....

we just did a pumpkin DRAWING contest,
because Pumpkin Day had to be cut short due to
severe morning sickness...the kids still had a blast!

With awards like,

"most creative",
"most colorful",
"most detailed",
and "funniest pumpkin"
.
we were all the winner!!
And the winner gets a special treat...
Boy grandparents are the best..aren't they!!!

For our Halloween costumes,

We decided to be the characters

from The Nutcracker.

Clara and the Nutcracker, they just look the part!

With a lil' Sugar Plum Fairy....who loves to dance!

She still wears this costume and has since mid-October.I guess it's safe to say, we picked the perfect character for her to be.

And of course Grandma was there, we are lucky enough to have Grandparents that want to come to all our events!!! We love 'em !

The Evil Mouse King
(and he was a good one. I've never met anyone so excited to be..."the bad guy".)

Should I be worried?

The Nutcracker, himself.
I actually asked each of the kiddos individually, which character from the nutcracker they wanted to be.He wanted to be the Nutcracker. Good thing, because Evil Mouse King was taken!

And Clara.

Clara was followed around everywhere
by a lil' Sugar Plum Fairy.
She kept calling her big sister a "princess" and
ironically, Clara turns out to be the Sugar Plum Princess in the end....so I think we picked the perfect theme this year!

.
Yes, knowing there would be another person to add
to our Halloween in 2008,...
We decided for authenticity purposes.....
being Ms. Hannigan with a bunch
of orphans, should be saved for next year!

(with 5 kids, I we may actually look the part all year long.
I'm still nervous about that big of a clan)
.

And in case I'm not feeling good enough to blog about the upcoming holiday....

.

HAVE A HOLLY, JOLLY CHRISTMAS!
