I've been doing a little reminiscing.
Maybe I'll do this every Friday.
And what's been on my mind this week was our First trip to Disneyland.
It was April of 2004 and
"Savvy Girl" was 6 yrs. old,
"Harry Perry" was 4 yrs.
and "Supa Spaz" was 2 yrs. old.
It was a 25 hour drive, but well worth it. We saw lots of interesting things along the way, but what we remember most about the whole trip was.....
All the (very overpriced) food- ohhh yummy..... the rides were a blast, and the whole place had a feeling of cheerfullness 'round about...... but as much as we enjoyed all that, nothing compared to seeing REAL, LIVE CELEBRITIES (Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, Buzz, Woody, Winnie the Pooh, the Princesses, etc.)

you've got a friend in ME!
"Harry Perry" was smiling All week !!
(he was twitterpated...but more about that in a minute)
Mickey Mouse was taken with our little "Supa Spaz"....maybe it's because "Supa Spaz" can be very .....GOOFY!

Mickey Mouse was always a must see celebrity on a twice daily basis. (at least)
And the PRINCESSES....
oh, the princesses

Savvy girl loved seeing the princesses, but, I think there was someone else who
loved seeing them more then she did......
and his name is "HARRY PERRY".
"Harry Perry" fell in love with every princess we saw!
Snow White was "beautiful"...Cinderella-"very, more beautiful"
On the day that we saw Sleeping Beauty....He couldn't contain his feelings anylonger.....AFTER our visit with her was over, and we were walking away..."Harry Perry" ran back over to her for one last hug and said...
"You are so beautiful and I love you!"
She threw her arms around him and we caught this precious moment

"Harry Perry" even said "Mom, YOU could dress like the Princesses if you want to, that would be alright with me.".....( SO NICE OF HIM!!!)
Not only did we get to see all these Disney favorites....but we got to spend a week with our cousins who live far, far away.
Seeing them was even better then the chocolate covered mickey mouse shaped icecream on a stick!!
We thought the daddys of this trip deserved a picture all their own because without them...this wouldn't have been possible......THANKS daddys for our little reunion at the Happiest Place on Earth.

We had to stop
and enjoy the
waterfall with our lunch.

And the flowers....oh how beautiful and fragrent.
Winnie the Pooh is always a friendly kind of bear!

And it wasn't enough to just have a picture with these "celebrities" we had to hug them....no SQUEEZE them, whenever they were around.
Ariel, oh Ariel....We ate at a restaurant where it was "under the sea" and so AWESOME!! Ariel and all her underwater friends were there. (and lots of other disney characters too)
Oh how "Harry Perry" loved Ariel...He kept telling her she was BEAUTIFUL!!
SHE LOVED THAT!!

She took a little extra time with "Supa Spaz" and let him show her the things he carried around in his pockets.
She was probably our favorite to see.
(Sleeping Beauty was Harry Perry's favorite, of course)
Everywhere "Supa Spaz" went....
he carried around his "TEE TEE" (blanket)
A 2yr old without any naps for one week...
this "tee tee" was the only thing that kept us from turning into the MAD HATTER.
WHAT A WEEK!!!
And by the end....we were ready to go back, WHY? you ask....Why were we ready to leave the HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH???
One week's vacation for 2 adults and 3 kids: $1800.00
Film and developing costs (pre-digital days): $75.00
Returning home to routine, NAP TIME, our own sheets, FREE WATER, and not having to hear the song "It's a Small World" play after listening to it nonstop for A WHOLE week......PRICELESS
Goodbye Disneyland.
Goodbye!
